Texas Property Damage Liability Needed in an Auto Accident?

The two men injured in a late night high speed crash at the intersection of Katy Freeway feeder road and Buckeye walked away without serious injuries, but major damages were caused at the scene.

After 9:30 p.m. on August 7th, two men in an SUV traveling at high speeds, hit a H2 Hummer before rolling several times and splitting an electric telephone pole. The accident took place next to a Kia dealership where several of the cars in the lot suffered damages.

This accident highlights an important aspect of insurance coverage since the vehicles damaged were not covered by an individual driver’s Texas Auto Insurance, but rather, the KIA dealership’s Texas Property Damage Liability. Even if you don’t own a car dealership, if you own commercial vehicles that are registered to your business, whether for deliveries or just transportation, it’s critical to make sure you have adequate property damage liability insurance for instances like this.
