Houston TX Insurance Agency Encourages You to Give Back This Season

The holidays are fast approaching. Thanksgiving is only a few days away and Christmas will be here before we know it. At Dagley Insurance, we’re getting ready for our big office celebration and Thanksgiving Feast, which always occurs the day before Thanksgiving. We love to celebrate, but we also love to give back.

This year we’re sponsoring the 1st Brigade Combat Team 101st Division for Christmas. These soldiers, one of them being the son of a staff member, will

be in Afghanistan during Christmas – away from their families to serve our country and fight for freedom. If you would like to help us make their Christmas brighter, you can learn more in a previous post.

Thanksgiving is a time when we should not only count our blessings, but look for ways in which we can bless others. In the Houston Area, there are many opportunities to serve.

As your trusted insurance agent in Houston, we hope that you not only fully enjoy the holiday season, but also look for ways to give back to those who are in need within our community. Pass your blessings on to others!

Encompass Lending Group & Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic

Chamber Golf TournamentWhat do a popcorn machine, golf bag, M&M’s, cold beverages and a souped up golf cart have in common? Dagley Insurance’s beverage tent at the Encompass Lending Group/Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic! We don’t mean to brag, but

our tent totally rocked. Seriously, who doesn’t love popcorn and M&M’s together? Marriage made in heaven if you ask those at the Dagley

Insurance tent. Although, there were plenty who liked their popcorn plain. That’s okay, we love you anyway. It was an absolutely beautiful day to be at Weston Lakes Country Club & Golf Course. If you haven’t been to this course before in Fulshear, it is beautiful and has the biggest pecan trees we’ve ever seen! The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce is a great way to get involved in our community. For our insurance agency, the Katy Chamber has provided a wonderful network of relationships. Not only do they have awesome events such as this golf tournament, they are always looking for ways that their members can serve the Katy Community.

The luck winner of a Calloway golf bag was the owner of Katy, Texas’ Texas Mesquite, Austin Yates. If you haven’t been to Texas Mesquite, you’ve got to try it! We had such a great time and look forward to attending next year’s tournament. Just follow the smell of popcorn and you’ll find us!

Dagley Insurance Wins Astonish's Community Service Award of the Year

We are pleased to announce that at this year’s Astonish e-Agent Summit, Dagley Insurance & Financial Services won the Community Service Award of the Year. The winner of this award receives an additional $1000 to distribute to the charity of their choice. What an honor! Here is the nomination that highlights a few of the ways that Dagley Insurance has served the communities of Plano, Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land and Houston.

Nathan Dagley and his Agency strive to not only be deeply involved within their communities, but also to be continuously seeking opportunities to serve. Whether it’s coming to the aid of those in need or participating in the

further development of the areas’ youth programs, the Dagley Team always seems to find a way to give back. We can choose to gloss over the needs within the communities we serve or seek to provide the solution.

Since 2011 the Agency has collected relief items for firefighters during the local Texas wildfires, provided food and personal care items for Katy Christian Ministries serving the hungry and in need, and backpacks/school supplies for a local school district. These efforts have been furthered by social media and Agency communications to our clients and centers of influence.

The Dagley Offices will be sponsoring a platoon of soldiers deploying to Afghanistan in October to provide comfort items and support while they are serving and away from their families.

Nathan Dagley and his team are current guest lecturers at one of our local high school’s Entrepreneurship and Sports Marketing classes. Nathan

also serves in Junior Achievement at a local elementary school. With four kids participating in community sports and activities, Nathan serves the Katy community in many capacities.

Dagley Insurance & Financial Services sponsors and serves FO1 Sports, a non-profit organization that seeks to develop leadership skills through football and youth sports programs. Nathan Dagley plays an integral role on the board and several Dagley team members have volunteered through coaching or providing support and services to the organization.

We are again sponsoring Katy Independent School District and this year we will be rolling out a Quote for a Cause campaign for the KISD Booster Clubs. Our team will be present at several games throughout the season. We will be raising funds for the Booster Clubs with $10 per quote donated to the respective Booster.

As an Agency, we sponsor and support Savannah Smiles, Talan Holmes’ Charity, Pregnancy Help Center of West Houston, Katy Independent School District, numerous school programs such as Seven Lakes HS Cheerleading, Cinco Ranch Dance Team, Taylor HS Booster Club, Seven Lakes HS Booster Club, Mayde Creek HS Booster Club, Katy HS Booster Club, Morton Ranch HS Booster Club, Katy Chamber of Commerce, and numerous youth sports teams.

Our agents are involved within their communities throughout Texas and Colorado. Their service spans Young Life, FO1 Sports, Student Venture, various youth sports organizations as coaches, human trafficking ministry, Chambers of Commerce through Houston and Plano, Tour de Cure for Diabetes and numerous church organizations.

We are honored to be Astonish’s 2012 Community Service Award Winner.

Katy's Talan Holmes Charity Golf Classic

Do you remember when your child took their first step? The look on their face is priceless. It’s the joy of discovery. What if you weren’t sure that your child would ever learn to walk?

The Holmes family anticipated the birth of their second child with great joy. The pregnancy progressed smoothly and their little boy appeared to be developing as expected. Upon delivery, their doctor shared the news that their son Talan, was born with a rare congenital defect called Tibial Hemimelia. He was missing his right arm, the tibia of his right leg as well as the knee cap and ligaments in his right knee and ankle. He also had a hole in his right lung. Once the initial shock passed and knowing what their sweet son faced, the Holmes family rallied around little Talan and prepared for the journey that lie ahead.

The Talan Holmes Annual Charity Golf Classic is an effort within our community to support not only Talan Holmes and his family, but other families who have been impacted by Tibial

Hemimelia. These children have

many obstacles to overcome often including multiple surgeries and prostheses fittings. As these children grow they must be refitted fo

r these new limbs; this alone presents many challenges. You can imagine the financial weight that this carries for the family of a child with Tibial Hemimelia.

In addition and like Talan’s family, many are unaware that their child suffers from this abnormality until birth. The Talan Holmes Charity Golf Classic helps families that may be otherwise unable to fund the medical expenses that come along with Tibial Hemimelia, including the correct prosthesis.

Talan has undergone his first surgery is now learning to walk with his first prosthesis. By supporting this charity you are potentially giving a child that first experience of learning how to walk. You’re giving those parents a chance to see the joy of discovery on their child’s face. What could be better than this?

At Dagley Insurance & Financial Services, we are proud to support the Holmes Family in the Talan Holmes Charity Golf Classic. We know that Talan is such a blessing to his parents and sister as well as our community. We hope that you will join us in supporting their efforts, whether monetarily or helping to spread the word. For more information about how you can support the Holmes Family and those overcoming similar obstacles, please visit their Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/talanholmescharitygolfclassic or the Talan Holmes Charity Golf Classic website.
